Privacy
Effective October 8, 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit tersa.tech, email us or run one of Tersa's tools. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Hungarian data protection law.
Who is responsible
Vince, a private individual based in Hungary, runs Tersa (also called Tersa Tech) and controls the personal data this policy describes. Tersa is a non-commercial project, not a company. In this policy, "we" means Vince. You can reach us at iqad@tersa.tech, and the imprint lists our details.
What we collect
Nothing, through the site itself. tersa.tech has no accounts, forms, cookies, analytics, ads, session recording or tracking pixels, and it stores nothing in your browser.
Hosting
GitHub, Inc. (88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) hosts tersa.tech on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs the IP address of each visitor for security purposes, whether or not you have a GitHub account. We can't see those logs, and GitHub decides how long to keep them.
Our legal basis for using GitHub Pages is our legitimate interest in running a secure, free website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). GitHub is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognizes as giving adequate protection. The GitHub Privacy Statement has the details.
Scripts and fonts
We serve the page, the stylesheet, one script and the Geist fonts from tersa.tech. Opening the site loads nothing from any other domain. The script animates the page and sends no data.
Our links to GitHub, X and iqad.me take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
If you write to iqad@tersa.tech or another tersa.tech address, we receive your email address, any name you include, your message and its timestamps. We use them to answer your message and to keep a record of past conversations. You don't have to email us, and nothing on the site requires it.
Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Name.com, Inc., our domain registrar in the United States, forwards your message to a Gmail inbox that Google runs. Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Name.com describes its own safeguards in its privacy policy.
We keep conversations so we can follow up and look back at earlier reports. We don't delete them on a schedule, but we delete a conversation whenever you ask. We won't add you to a mailing list or pass your message to anyone else.
Our tools
BraveDebloater runs on your computer and sends nothing to us. It changes Brave through the browser's enterprise policies and keeps its backups on your machine. The installer downloads the release from GitHub, so GitHub sees that request. If you open an issue or star a repository, GitHub handles that data under its own terms.
Selling and sharing
We don't sell or share personal information, and we don't use it for ads or profiling. No automated system makes decisions about you. We would disclose an email you sent us only if the law required it.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We don't track you on this site or across other sites, and we don't let anyone else do it here. The site behaves the same whether or not your browser sends these signals.
Children
We built tersa.tech for a general audience of people who use developer tools, not for children. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we delete it if we learn a message came from one. If you're a parent or guardian and your child under 16 has emailed us, tell us and we'll delete the conversation.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you and send you a copy
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your data
- restrict how we use it
- stop using it, if you object to our legitimate-interest basis
Email iqad@tersa.tech. We answer within one month and don't charge for it. A complicated request can take up to two more months, and we'll tell you if yours does. We may ask you to confirm that the request came from your address.
Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your data, tell us first and we'll try to fix it. You can also complain to the Hungarian data protection authority:
Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH)

Postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9
Phone: +36 1 391 1400
ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu, naih.hu
If you live in another EU country, you can go to the authority there instead.
Changes
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. The site's source sits in a public repository, so you can read every earlier version in its commit history.
